Reunited We Rise Event

Lake Phalen is located in a diverse neighborhood with many ethnic groups and a very large Hmong population. Many community members and organizations came together to host a gathering after being cooped up throughout the pandemic. This event focused on youths. It consisted of youth performers, youth organizers, youth focused organizations, a youth run food truck, and the community at large. Youths were trained with artist organizers how to run the stage, sound, event and took part in media documentation.

This event was made possible with the support of several community entities and organizations including Fresh Vibes, Tou Saik Unites, Cypher Side, Indeigenous Roots, Asian Youth Organization, Spring Board for the Arts, In Progress, Indigenous Roots, Saint Paul Parks and Recs, Hmong Museum, Hmong Outreach Network, The Dial Group, Various Community Performing Artists, Visual Artist Tou Yia Xiong, and Poetic Lense Photography
